Overview
This project served as a hands-on introduction to CNC machining as part of the HAAS CNC certification. The goal was to design and machine a personalized aluminum coaster.
Key Operations
- CAM programming in Fusion 360
- 2.5D pocketing and contour toolpaths
- Finishing with a 1/8” ball end mill
Results
Dimensional accuracy within ±0.0015”, and a surface finish of Ra ≤ 32 μin. The final design was anodized and laser-engraved.
